The 4 other Trans-led agencies are Arianna's Center, Transinclusive Group, The McKenzie Project, and Bridging the Gap. I believe the Trans Collaborative Network is also Trans-led but I'm unsure. We are currently piloting our rural Trans health program in Bay County, and folks can get in touch with us through TransSOCIAL's Play Safe Miami programwww.playsafemiami.com. We can only accept low-income clients at the moment, so we have to screen each applicant.
CHOW group discussions are open to all – chef, servers, bussers, bartenders, owners, suppliers, farmers, writers, dishwashers, and industry veterans. Virtual meetings can be accessed from any location, please be aware of the time zones listed.
HARM REDUCTION SERVICES
With the premise of providing new syringes in exchange for used ones, the IDEA Exchange envisions health equity with a mission in increasing access to the tools necessary to keep people healthy, especially those who are most vulnerable.
Operating within the University of Miami, the IDEA Exchange is the only syringe exchange in the state of Florida. Besides its primary function of providing new syringes in exchange for used ones, the IDEA Exchange hosts many auxiliary harm reduction services to reduce the spread of HIV, Hepatitis C, and other blood-borne diseases.

Art as Healing
The heart of our organization is art. Yaya always had a pencil, paintbrush, or tattoo tool in her hand. Art was her therapy, her healthy escape, and her way to express her feelings when she could not find the right words. The importance of her art was not only in how successful she was becoming but in how her art helped her during her hardest moments. We live her legacy through her art and share the healing it brought her.

We now run two Art as Healing programs. These programs are created with our organization and local artists to bring a special, fun, and healing experience to people in recovery, their families, and people who use drugs.

Narcan Overdose Prevention & Distribution
In the fight against stigma, knowledge is power. Our Narcan Overdose and Prevention training will give you the skills you need to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose. You will learn how to give Narcan, a life saving medication that can reverse an overdose, and you will learn simple ways to help prevent overdoses. Click here to schedule free individual or group training.
Recovery Ally Triaining

Become a trusted support for people on their recovery journey. Our Recovery Ally Training will teach you how to give kind and helpful support to people working through addiction recovery. You will learn how to build trust, give encouragement, and handle hard conversations so you can help create a safe and supportive space for people seeking recovery.
Family & Individual Recovery Group

We understand that the path to recovery is not only about the person healing. Our Family and Individual Recovery Support services give guidance and support to people seeking recovery and to the people who love them. Through one on one peer support, group support sessions, educational resources, and help with referrals, we empower families to face the challenges of addiction and create a supportive space for healing.
Harm Reduction
Basic Training

Equip yourself with the knowledge to support Infectious Disease Prevention and Education in your community. Our Basic Training will teach you the main ideas and strategies of this work. You will learn why it is important to reduce the negative physical and mental health effects linked to drug use. You will also learn about safer use practices, overdose prevention, and how this work helps protect public health.
Anti-Stigma 101

Stigma is a negative attitude or belief that is placed on a person or a group. It can lead to discrimination, unfair treatment, and people being pushed away from others. Stigma can be based on a person’s race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, mental health, or substance use. Stigma can deeply affect people’s lives. It can make it hard for people to ask for help, find jobs, and keep healthy relationships. It can also cause shame, isolation, and hopelessness.
Yaya Por Vida is committed to fighting stigma and teaching understanding and compassion. We believe that every person deserves respect, no matter their background or experiences.
ART AS HEALING

The heart of our organization is art. Yaya always had a pencil, paintbrush, or tattoo gun in hand. Art was her therapy, her healthy escape, and her means of expression when she didn't know how to put into words how she was feeling. The importance of her art is not just based on how successful she was becoming but more so on what the art did for her in her more challenging moments. We live her legacy through her art and share the healing art provided for her. We currently run two Art as Healing programs that are curated between our organization and local artists to bring a unique, fun, and therapeutic experience to those in recovery, their families, and people who use drugs.

Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder & STD Referral Navation
Mental health is just as important as physical health. It is a state of well being where a person understands their own abilities, can handle the normal stresses of life, can work in a healthy way, and can help their community. Mental health challenges are common. The National Alliance on Mental Illness says that one in five adults in the United States experiences a mental illness each year.

Yaya Por Vida provides many types of mental health referral navigation, including counseling, psychiatry, crisis intervention, crisis support, and inpatient treatment providers. We are committed to helping people reach and maintain good mental health.
Dance (Rave) Safety

Dance parties, clubbing, bar hopping, and raves can be fun, but it is important to stay safe. Here are some tips for staying safe at these events.
-
Plan ahead. Know where you are going and who you are going with. Tell someone you trust about your plans and when you expect to return.
-
Drink water and eat before, during, and after the event so you can stay alert and avoid getting dehydrated.
-
Limit alcohol so you do not lose good judgment.
-
Pay attention to your surroundings. Watch your things and stay close to your friends.
-
Do not accept drinks, items, or cigarettes from strangers.
-
If you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, leave the party right away.
